CAPEX Procurement

Capital purchases handled end to end: specification, vendor evaluation, commercial negotiation and delivery coordination. Longer cycles, higher stakes, one accountable owner.

Capital purchases fail differently to consumables. A wrong box of gloves is an annoyance; a chiller with the wrong capacity, or a racking system that does not suit the aisle width, is a problem you live with for years.

So the work starts before the quoting does. We go through what the equipment actually has to do — throughput, dimensions, the constraints of the site it is going into — and only then approach suppliers.

Lead times on capital items are real and rarely short. We quote them honestly, track the order to your gate, and tell you early if anything threatens the date rather than on the day it slips.

What's included

  • Specification worked out against the actual application
  • Vendor evaluation, not just price comparison
  • Commercial negotiation on your behalf
  • Delivery coordination and site scheduling
  • Documentation for your asset and audit records
  • Warranty and after-sales terms confirmed in writing

How we run it

  1. 01 We visit or discuss the site and the application before proposing anything.
  2. 02 A specification is agreed with you — capacity, dimensions, power, and the constraints the equipment has to fit around.
  3. 03 Suppliers are shortlisted on capability and support, then quoted against that one specification.
  4. 04 We negotiate commercially and put the terms, including warranty, in writing.
  5. 05 Delivery is scheduled around your site, and we stay on it until the equipment is in and working.

Questions we get asked

Can you work to our approved vendor list?

Yes. Tell us who is on it and we will quote against them, or say clearly where we think an alternative would serve you better and let you decide.

Do you handle installation?

We coordinate it with the supplier and schedule it around your operation. What the supplier installs and what your team handles is agreed up front, in writing.

How far ahead should we start?

Earlier than most people think. Refrigeration and made-to-order equipment can run to weeks, and the cheapest way to hit a date is to start before it is urgent.
